The microcrystalline hydroxyapatite complex (MCHC) in our formula contains much more than calcium; it includes balanced ratios of all minerals found in bone, such as phosphorus, and provides proteins that stimulate bone growth. The MCHC in Ortho Bone™ contains the most potent forms of vitamins D and K2, which help enhance the body’s absorption and usage of calcium. Vitamin C and silicon support collagen production, which builds the framework for bone and helps support joints.

Magnesium makes up a large part of the bone-mineral matrix; boron reduces magnesium loss; and trace minerals manganese, zinc, and copper are cofactors for enzymes involved in bone metabolism. Vitamins B12 and folate help reduce homocysteine which can affect heart health.
